AUBURN, Calif January 29, 2015 – Coming from a region with a rich tradition in winemaking, Placer County Wine Trail wineries have much to celebrate. For the second year in a row, regional wineries won 50 awards at the 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Recognized as the largest competition of American wines in the world, this year’s event received a record 6,417 entries.
The competition’s judges included over 80 wine experts within the media, trade, hospitality and education industries.
